Nothing ever stays the same…
We are changing. Constantly. Whether we like it or not.
Life means movement, change, growth.
Nothing remains the way it is and nothing becomes as it once was. Everything follows a rhythm.
Nature gives us the perfect example: the change of seasons, between day and night, the lunar cycle, even the breath… inhale, exhale, never ending.
Change is good.
We follow this rhythm, too.
Everyone has these phases in life full of energy and motivation; full of progress, new ideas and creativity.
And everyone certainly knows these phases of retreat, loneliness and silence; the gathering of new strength.
I know too well that it doesn’t always look like the latter.
Sometimes change can be incredibly painful and you can’t accept it.
But in retrospect, aren’t these moments always the ones that get you moving forward? They give you the strength you need to take that one important step? These situations in which you think:
so, now it’s enough, that’s no longer me. I want to be more than that!
Change means there will be something different in your life and that is sometimes difficult to welcome.
Life always changes, that happens by itself.
It depends on you LIVING that CHANGE!
that means:
FEEL YOUR FUCKING FEELINGS!
That’s actually the whole point of feelings. They want to be felt.
I know that especially big changes (a relationship comes to an end, you quit your job etc.) are hard to accept and you try to avoid your feelings.
You distract yourself with other things and let time heal the wounds. But the ‘unfelt’ emotions are still under the surface and nourish your future!
Change means letting go. Free your hand for something new.
You can only do that by accepting what is.
Every change has a meaning and a right to be there.
You know… Life doesn’t just happen to you, it happens for you.
I think that is a beautiful thought and gives an incredibly strong trust in life.
You can point the arrow at a target and let it go, but you’ll literally no longer have an influence where it lands. So relax. Be active and pursue your dreams, but also let go of the bow’s tendon and don’t try to force something.
What need to be there, will come.
Have a nice weekend and please don’t stay the way you are, but
become who you want to be!
Tara
